3 - RACING RULES
The regattas will be played according to the following regulation:
- R.R. ISAF in force, with supplementary Fiv instruction;
- Federal conditions for “high sea sail 2008”;
- Rules of the 15th Apulia High sea tour 2008;
- Rules of the 14th “Vela di Grande Altura” Apulia championship 2008;
- Rules O.R.C. for the regatta of 3rd category with liferaft required; 
- this Notice of Race (NOR);
- the racing instruction;
- Regatta committee or jury announcement.



4 - ADMISSION AND GROUPING

ORC INTERNATIONAL CLASS:
Each sail-boat with length ft. not lower than 8,50 metres in possession of valid ORC international or ORC Club tonnage certificate.

All sail-boats will be divided in cruise/regatta and cruise category.
“Cruise” Class A
· Genoa furling with set up sail or bow sail with garrocci;
· Sails in dacron and others polyester fibres, nylon and other polyamide fibres, cotton or weft and warp sail of yarn with only polyester taffeta lamination;
· One of the following rigging:
rollaranda, complete teak deck, set up weigher anchor, must structure without tapering, proportionate unsalinizer, cast iron bulb, conditioning system, visible bow-thrusters.
“Cruise” Class B
· Fix blade screw;
· Genoa furling with set up sail or bow sail with garrocci;
· Sails in dacron and others polyester fibres, nylon and other polyamide fibres, cotton or weft and warp sail of yarn with only polyester taffeta lamination;

Class OPEN
All sail-boats with length not lower than 8,50 metres not in possession of valid ORC international or ORC Club tonnage certificate or sail-boats that don't indent in the pleasure craft class, with safety equipment foreseen in the NOR with unquestionable judgement of Committee.

PLEASURE CRAFT CLASS (Note of Race enclosed):
All sail-boats with navigation license, without limits from the coast.

Grouping from mt. 8,50 to 11,00
Grouping from mt. 11,01 to 13,00
Grouping from mt. 13,01 to 15,00
Grouping from mt. 15,01 to 17,00
Grouping more than mt. 17,01

The participant sail-boats will be subdivided in these grouping regarding the max length of hull, enclosed any other pulpits and bow hardware, helms and pertinent supporting hardware.
The category will be formed only with min 3 sail-boats registered. If it won't be possible the committee has the authority to introduce a grouping in superior or inferior category, according to the sail-boat type.

At the end of applications, the organizer committee will expose the grouping of different classes.



5 - ENTRY FEE
the entry fee to the three events is the following:

from mt. 8,50 > mt. 11,00 ft € 120,00
from mt. 11, 01 > mt. 13,00 ft. € 150,00
from mt. 13,01 > mt. 15,00 ft, € 180,00
more than mt. 15,01 € 200,00

the entry fee to the single regatta is the following:

from mt. 8,50 > mt. 11,00 ft € 40,00
from mt. 11, 01 > mt. 13,00 ft. € 50,00
from mt. 13,01 > mt. 15,00 ft, € 70,00
more than mt. 15,01 € 80,00



6 - APPLICATION
the entries must arrive, using the appropriate form, which can be downloaded from the web-site www.terradamare.it, not later than 19:00 p.m. of April 18th 2008, to the CUS secretary's office in Bari email darsena@cusbari.it, fax.080.5344865.

Regarding the pleasure craft class, the applications must include:
a) valid FIV membership card of ship owner or skipper (for Italians sail-boats);
b) Form A proxy of ship owner for his representative on board, supposing that the ship owner doesn't participate to the regatta;
c) Form B - “responsibility assumption declaration” subscribed from the ship owner or the skipper (form provided from the organization);
d) valid sailing licence or equivalent document of the homeland;
e) sail-boats command's qualification of the ship owner or of the skipper, with auxiliary engine, for navigation without limits from the coast;
f) Insurance policy RCT (with a maximum of € 1.000.000,00) valid also to participate to the regatta.

For the foreign sail-boats: insurance company declaration in Italian or in English, attesting the validity insurance cover abroad and in this kind of events.

g) Entry fee.

For the ORC international category the application must include:
a) Copy of tonnage certificate 2008;
b) insurance policy RCT (with a maximum of € 1.000.000,00) valid also to participate to the regatta.

For foreign sail-boats: insurance company declaration, in Italian or in English, attesting the validity of insurance cover abroad and in this kind of events.

c) Form C - "conformity declaration" to the safety rules foreseen from law (Form provided from the organization);
d) valid FIV card of the ship owner or of the skipper ( for Italians sail-boats);
e) Form A - “proxy of the ship owner” for his representative on board, supposing the ship owner doesn't participate to the regatta;
f) Form B - “responsibility assumption declaration” subscribed by the ship owner or by the skipper;
g) Entry fee;
h) For foreign sail-boats, documents equivalent to the documents foreseen in b) e) f) issued from homeland authority, will be valid.

In this regard, the sail-boats different from Italian and Greek, must subscribe the declaration of conformity to all prescriptions of own homeland authority (form B enclosed in the NOR) of the ship owner or his representative. 
The list of the members of the crew of each sail-boat must be sent to the regatta Secretary not later than 10:00 a.m. of April 29th 2008, enclosing original FIV cards endorsed for the sanitary rules and valid for this year. 
For the foreign crews are requested the other equivalent documents, if foreseen from the homeland authority.
The changes in the crew must be communicated putting in writing, 4 hours before the race starting at least, to the regatta's committee.



7 - TONNAGE CHECK
the tonnage check will be possible with unquestionable judgement of regatta's committee. 



8 - MOORINGS
they will be made by CUS Bari. In Montenegro will be available by the Herceg-Novi city-council. 



9 - RESULTS AND PRIZES
- EST 105 trophy will be given to the first placed in compensated time in overall of ORC international or ORC Club category;
- HERCEG-NOVI trophy will be given to the first placed in compensated time in overall of ORC international or ORC Club category; 
- NICOLAIANO trophy will be given to the first placed in compensated time in overall of ORC international or ORC Club category;
- TERRADAMARE 2008 trophy to the first placed in the score list in compensated time in overall of ORC international or ORC Club category doing an addition of the scores of the 3 test above-mentioned with the possibility of scrap of one of the regattas HERCEG-NOVI or NICOLAIANO;
- EST 105 CLUB trophy will be given to the first sailing-club placed regarding the first three classed of sail-boats of the same sailing-club.


(we are planning to give some prize for the OPEN results, having many sail-boats without tonnage. They will be edited by our club, like the other prizes for the Herceg-Novi trophy. To accord!)


OTHERS PRIZES REGARDING THE GENERAL RESULTS:
To the first helmsman ship owner placed, to the first helmswoman placed, to the first girls' crew, to the youngest helmsman and to the sail-boat arrived from the longest distance.
A general result time on distance will be edited.
From this result will be edited the results per category.
A general result on real time will be edited.
From this one will be edited the result for the trophy.



10 - REGATTA'S INSTRUCTIONS
They will be available to the application act or on the web-site of CUS Bari.



11 - ADVERTISING
the advertising will be limited to the category C regulation 20 of Fdr ISAF.



12 - RESPONSIBILITY
Only each sail-boat will be responsible of own decision about leaving or ending the regatta, rule n°4 of RDR.
The competitors in the regatta will take the risk, exempting the organizers from the damages responsibility regarding:
- people or things, on board or not, consequently their competition.
The ship owner or the responsible on board must decide if they can start the regatta and end it, regarding all conditions in force and able seaman's rules.
